What I’m Loving Now: Lucie Summers Textiles


While browsing on Etsy last week, I ran across the delightful Summersville. This beautiful shop highlights the whimsical textiles of Lucie Summers. Lucie screenprints her own fabric using environmentally friendly water based inks in her Suffolk, England studio. She finds inspiration in nature and vintage items.

SB: How did you get into textile design?

Lucie: i studied textiles at school aged around 14, then went on to do an art foundation course at college where i quickly realised that the textile module was the only thing i really wanted to do! at the time i was really into free-machine embroidery in jewel bright colours. i then went on to art school at 19…
