What if Wednesday: Ready. Set. Sew.

the finished project

Back in October, I told you about my wish to learn to sew.  So happy to report that last night, I took the first step toward making that what-if become a reality – by taking the Get Sewing class from City Craft here in Dallas.

It was much easier than I thought it would be…granted I made a very simple artist roll that I think even a 5 year old could have made, and some of my lines weren’t completely straight, and it did take 3 hours…but on the whole, I really enjoyed it and am looking forward to many more sewing projects in 2010!

The girls at City Craft have broken this class down into a great introductory format – from the practice lines we learned on, to the instruction sheet – and even a glass of wine to get you through the night.  What do you think of my first project?

xoxo, jill.
